This depends on many factors such as how many products you want to import, how often you want to update those products and whether or not you are using our Comparison Sets plugin. If you are just starting out, we recommend the Starter plan and upgrading if/when it’s necessary. Roughly, 500 API requests per month would support a store with 50 categories where each category has 100 products and all products were updated every 3 days.
An API request is an instance of communication between your website and our database. For example, when you do a producct search, your website will open a line of communication with our database where you can “ask” our database for products which match your search. Then our database will “respond” with an answer, in this case a list of products matching your search. That’s an API request.
